Yet again an early morning but this time 4:30am a later but still too early for me! So headed to the train station for the 6:10 train which we made, we learnt our lesson and wasn’t going to miss this train. To my surprise this train was lovely I’m glade as was on it for 4 hours! I basically slept the whole journey it wasn’t busy as able to spread out and just sleep.
We got on the bus and went straight to the Statue of Unity. We went into the museum part which was very interesting to found out the history of the monument and some interesting facts. We then went up into the statue to see the sights from the top this was definitely soo cool to do. What I found so interesting is that the detail they put into how he looks, just seems real.
First of all the statue stands at 182 meters , making it the tallest statue in the world, nearly twice the height of the Statue of Liberty.
The reason to why it was built was to symbolise the unity of India and to honor Patel’s role in unifying the country post-independence.
It’s dedicated after Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, an Indian statesman and independence leader, who played a key role in the integration of India after its independence
A Light and Sound show using laser technology projected on the Statue of Unity takes place every evening except Monday. The colourful laser lighting system is accompanied by an excellent narration of the history and life of Sardar Patel, his contribution to the Independence Movement and the unification of India as one nation.

This is what you get welcomed by when you first walk in

Just reminds me of Hollywood was so far away to see which was a bit annoying.

The Statue itself

Showing you how it was built

Able to compare to the different heights of the other statues.

This was the smaller version of the statue in the museum. Just so interesting about how much detail they can do.
