Games in the classroom

To change up today’s session for the children in the afternoon we did a games afternoon where we played sports games.

The reasons to why we did this session was allow the children to understand teamwork and how to support the team while under pressure, basically sportsman’s ship.

I even took part in these which was so nice, no pressure as I was always at the end and the children were yelling for me to hurry up! But it was so nice to play with them I had so much fun! Before anyone ask my team did win!

This was the first game all about memory. This was because each cone there was something different happening. It was definitely testing. We did have to re start a few times as some of my team couldn’t remember what to do on each cone!

We then had to run with the ball between your legs. If you drop it you have to restart. It wasn’t all about speed which the boys found about the hard way!

Part of the teamwork where we had to run with the ball between two people back. If you dropped it you had to restart. The hard bit was turning around!

The final game was passing the ball over our heads and changing the front person which was fun. We did under our legs and then under and over. This was so fun but got so competitive as this was the deciding game for who was the winner!
