Goodbye bland, hello bold!

I’m really a local Indian person! The last few dinners I have had were traditional Indian dinners! I want to clarify that deep down I can’t wait to eat English food, not that I’ve made a list of what I want when I get home!

Up first was rice and dal this seems to be a simple dish, I do really like this not that spicy. I even found some vegetables! I have never been so happy to eat vegetables, I was so desperate to eat vegetables I ate them all despite not liking some of them, you can see how keen I was!

This was way out of my comfort zone but thought I needed to be bold not having many more nights left. So this was Cholu and Bhature. The bhature which is the home handle pitter bread was my favourite part of it but it was just nice to try something new!

So we have plain rice to start with dal, tofu and of course, a brownie which was my reward for eating some of this! The dal and rice was my favourite part the tofu was just not for me I did try it but there was something within the taste I didn’t enjoy. But yet again if you asked me at the start of the trip if I was going to eat Indian food you would have been told not but now I am eating it and to my surprise, I like some of it! I would like to say the brownie was the finishing touch not as good as the ones at home but a nice reward for eating some of the curries.
