This morning, I gave a creative lesson to the children. Since my time is nearly done I wanted to create something which they look at and remember what I have taught them. So the children wanted to draw a tree and put apples on the tree while writing down the correct punctuation.
We, first of all, did a quick recap of all of the different punctuation just to make sure the children understood. Then comes the fun part.
We started by glueing the cardboard to the piece of paper. Due to the cardboard being bigger, we did have to cut this but this was simple.

We then went onto drawing the outline of the tree

Then we went onto the really fun part where we got to colours in the tree. This did invole in mixing colours togethers which did test my art skills!

While this was happening some of the children started cutting out the apple

Then we started sticking the stalk of the apple and the leaf of the apple to the actual apple itslef.

Once this was done the children were able to draw the punctuation park and write what it was on the apple.

Then we used double-sided sticky tape to place the apples onto the trees. While the final detail of the tree was being done.

This was an example of what an apple looked like before it was placed onto the tree

This was the final design of the tree

Then this was a photo of all the children who helped create this.

Then we stuck it on the wall and then had to sign it to show that we had done it.

I just thought this was a fun way in which the children could recap the different punctuation. Next time we will look at the definitions of each of the different punctuations.
