I didn’t think I would earn so much off these children while being in Mumbai, I do feel I’ve learnt more than the children!
- You could never see the children are living in the slums they are always so happy
- Despite what they face they have dreams they want to chase
- They are all so welcoming and want me to visit their homes and family
- These chickens are so resilient and just get on with life not knowing what they face
- Don’t be scared of rats, despite they are massive they are scared of you! I don’t agree with this one!!
- They are willing to learn and show off what they know.
- How welcoming they have been from giving me cards to offering me food
- How grateful they are for me teaching them
- How they respect the older generation so much they are always helping in at home even after school
- They had a huge curiosity about England and what I do at home. Some children have decided they will come and visit me!
I just feel so grateful for what I have been able to experience. It’s made me realise so much, and learn so many lesson that I would never of experience, I will take my favourite line before I left which is “I’m not going I can’t do this alone!” I did it well nearly have to wait till Friday.
